Mandatory Checks:
  1. Serial number check mandatory required before arranging RVP
  2. Do not use this handpiece on patients

Notes
1. Handpiece Rotating Instead of Bur / Handpiece Rotating with Bur

Step 1: Disconnect handpiece from motor; inspect for physical damage.

Step 2: Ensure bur is securely locked.

Step 3: Manually rotate the bur; it should turn smoothly.

Step 4: Verify if bur is clinical or laboratory type. Recommend clinical bur if laboratory bur causes rotation issues.

Step 5: Oil the handpiece from the bottom using provided nozzle and retest.

Step 6: Arrange RVP if unresolved. Provide approximate repair charges if out-of-warranty (OOW).


Notes
2. Abnormal Noise / Vibration / Intermittent Stopping

Step 1: Disconnect from motor, check for physical damage. Replace bent/damaged bur.

Step 2: Oil handpiece from bottom with provided nozzle.

Step 3: Test with another handpiece on same motor; refer to motor troubleshooting if the issue persists.

Step 4: Suspected bearing damage; arrange RVP and refer to cost sheet for OOW.

3. Dummy Bur Not Removable

Step 1: Disconnect from motor, check for physical damage.

Step 2: Unlock bur by rotating locking part anti-clockwise.

Step 3: Arrange RVP if still stuck.


Notes
4. Heating Issue

Step 1: Disconnect and inspect handpiece for visible damage.

Step 2: Replace damaged/bent bur.

Step 3: Verify motor type. Implant motors cause heating; recommend surgical handpiece if needed.

Step 4: Confirm continuous use duration. Recommend 30-second breaks after every 5 minutes.

Step 5: Oil handpiece using Unispray with provided cone nozzle; run briefly before use.

Step 6: Suspected bearing damage; arrange RVP and refer to cost sheet for OOW.

5. Stopped Working During Use

Step 1: Disconnect from motor.

Step 2: Check if bur came loose during use.

Step 3: Test another handpiece; if second handpiece fails, motor issue suspected.

Step 4: Suspected bearing damage; arrange RVP and refer to cost sheet for OOW.


Notes
6. Bur Not Getting Inserted

Step 1: Disconnect and inspect for physical damage.

Step 2: Replace damaged/bent bur.

Step 3: Confirm compatible bur size:

Standard: 44.5mm HP bur.

108mm and Waldent 125mm: 100mm HP bur.

Step 4: Ensure shaft is fully unlocked (refer instructional video).

Step 5: Oil from bur insertion point using cone nozzle and retest.

Step 6: Suspected shaft damage; arrange RVP and refer to cost sheet for OOW.


Notes
7. Handpiece Sticking or Jamming in Motor

Step 1: Unplug and switch off the motor.

Step 2: Apply mild oiling carefully to avoid motor contamination.

Step 3: Arrange RVP if unresolved.
